Small but Sweet Fred's Bed Thunderegg

With a neat triconoid core, a crystalline centre and a little intrusion of calcite. An interesting feature is the small chunk of matrix on the left that appears to be falling out, but is actually fixed firmly. The whole matrix looks like a cracked egg shell - indeed, I have never before seen one that is so obviously a piece of shattered rock from the outside. An interesting manifestation of the stress these rocks undergo during formation.
