Colourful Semi-Polished Flint Pebble from the Normans Bay Area

This was basically a test to see what hand-buffing a flint pebble could do. It maintains a lot of the original stone texture and shape, as well as (crucially) the thin surface patterns that can be so beautiful. It is possible that this could be taken further without sacrifice! There must be a whole gradation of polishes possible, from the lightest of buffing to a fully ground and polished round pebble. This is something I need to explore because I want to find ways to work with the beautiful exterior surfaces of flints.
